With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Ardyce Marie Final, age 81, on June 10th, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of her loving family in her Wonder Lake home. Ardyce was born on Saturday, March 4, 1944, to Benjamin and Gladys (Maas) Bill, III. in Elkorn, Wisconsin. Ardyce attended Badger High School in Lake Geneva, WI. graduating class of 1962. On March 8, 1975, she married her sweetheart, Michael Final marking the beginning of a shared life filled with love, laughter, and family.
A long-time resident of Spring Grove where together with Michael they raised their family.
Their love story began at Intermatic, where both Ardyce and Michael were employed. Amid the busy workdays and everyday routines, fate was quietly at work. Michael, intrigued by Ardyce's presence, found himself searching for opportunities to cross paths with her. Over time, his determination paid off-he finally gathered the courage to ask her out. That simple act of bravery sparked something special between them. What started as a workplace connection quickly blossomed into a deep and lasting love. Ardyce's life was one of active engagement and pleasure in simple joys. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and golfing in the Intermatic league and traveling with the family. She found delight in playing card games with the grandkids and took pleasure in beating her brothers in Euchre. A lifelong lover of stories, she was an avid reader who could be found finishing three to four books a week. Her green thumb brought beauty to her home, as she took great pride intending to her colorful flower garden. Above all, she embraced her role as a devoted Nonnie, never missing a single sporting event to cheer on her beloved grandchildren. And when it came to her grand-puppy, Lucky, she took just as much delight in showering her with love and treats- spoiling her every chance she got. Ardyce was truly the heart of her family, guiding them with her love, faith, and strong spirit. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. May all that knew her be comforted by the many memories of her care, strength, and the wisdom she shared.
Ardyce's legacy will be carried forward by her adoring family.
Survived by her daughters, Dawn Miller, Lynne Petrik, Jan (Ralph) Ten Bruin; grandchildren, Michael, Jacob Petrik, Madeline, Charles Ten Bruin; twin brother, Gary (Helen) Bill; brother, Benjamin (Joyce) Bill; many nieces and nephews and Lucky.
Preceded in death by her parents; and beloved husband, Michael.
Visitation for Ardyce will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home.
