Of Waupaca, age 97 passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. She was born in Waupaca on November 12, 1927 to the late Floyd and Rhoda (Stedman) Anderson. Arlene married George Golding on December 26, 1946 in Oshkosh, he preceded her in death on November 16, 2016. She was a member of the Parfreyville United Methodist Church.
Arlene will be missed by her children: Doug (Sue) Golding of Waupaca and Sherry (Keith) Timm of Manawa; eight grandchildren: Haley (Richard) Nelson, Jessica (Eric) Selle, Rikki (Nate) Regan, Whitney (Matt) Rohan, Travis (Jaki) Golding, Kari (Jeff) Morack, Courtny (Chad) Dolphin and Ashley (Luke) Gustafson; great- grandchildren: Rhett, Rylee, Charlie, Greta, Sunny, Autumn, Jacob, Alyssa, Boden, Dashel, Ava and Levi; and brother: Jerry. In addition to her husband, George and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Bruce E. Golding, and other relatives.
The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 4 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. The visitation will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank the staff at Park Vista The Legacy and Paula at Thedacare Hospice.

Dear Sherry & family & Doug & family. I send you my sincere sympathy with the recent loss of your dear Mother, Irene Golding. She was a sweet lady and a wonderful neighbor to live by. The last project she helped us with was making the New Hope Float for the Waupaca Parade.
