Ashley received several awards: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device 1960, Vietnam Services Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge
.
Ashley is preceded in death by both parents, a sister Dorothy Snipes Jackson, and brother, Wardell B. Snipes.
Ashley is survived by: sister, Carolyn JA Snipes of Daytona, FL; brother, Williams S. Snipes (Carolyn) of Savannah, and Manici Snipes (Janie) of Smokes, SC; sister-in-law, Pearl Snipes; special niece/God Daughter, Hervina LaShawn Shuman of Savannah, host of nieces and nephew other family and friends.
PUBLIC VIEWING ONLY: 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the church.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025 after visitation - 602 Fairburn Court, Bloomingdale, GA 31302
INTERMENT: Tuesday, June 3, 2025 - 11:00 am Beaufort National Cemetery with military Honors
