Audie was a 1955 graduate of Central High School in South Bend where he was on the Indiana State Champion Relay Team for swimming. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corp. Audie was the owner/operator of A.M. Manuel Funeral Home in North Liberty for fifty years.
Audie is survived by his four children, Melinda (Lou) Pierce of Mishawaka, Marty (Amy) Manuel of North Liberty, Carla Manuel of Walkerton, and Carmen (Aaron) McCann of Vicenza, Italy. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and his sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and John White of Denver, CO.
A private burial service will be held at Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Palmer Funeral Home-North Liberty Chapel is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Audine M. Manuel may be donated to River Bend Cancer Services, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, IN 46615. Online condolences may be offered to Audie's family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
