Avelina Mancera Obituary

Avelina Valdes Mancera, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born as one of eleven children in Apaseo El Grande, Guanajuato Mexico on November 10, 1942, to her parents, Emilio Valdes and Petra Mancera. She is survived by her siblings Dorotea, Rafael,
Maria, Victoria and is preceded in death by Emilio Jr., Reynaldo, Andres, Cristina, Concepcion, and Guadalupe.
She is survived also by her children: Andrea, Efigenio (Socorro), Alberto (Donna),
Jose, Rosario (Elu), Wendy; her grandchildren Danielle, Laramie, Estevan, Sofia,
Alexia, Anthony, Andrew, Rogelio, Joshua, Jonathon, Leonardo and great
grandchildren Carter and Ryan.
Avelina was a loving mother, aunt, sister and grandmother and she will be
missed greatly. Throughout her life, she enjoyed spending time with her family
and close friends, and found joy in caring for her birds, plants and flowers. Her
gentle spirit, unwavering faith and devotion to the power of prayer touched
everyone around her and will be fondly remembered.
A rosary will be held at McNary Moore funeral services in Colusa, CA on
Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 7 p.m. Mass will be held at Our Lady of
Lourdes on Friday, September 26th at 10 a.m. followed by the burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colusa. The family thanks everyone for all thoughts and prayers as they cherish her memory and the life she lived.
