Barbara “Barb” Ann Wagner
December 3, 1947 – February 16, 2025
Barb “Missy” Wagner, age 77, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 3, 1947, the daughter of the late Victor and Lucille (Fass) Roelke. She attended St. Norbert’s Elementary School in Roxbury and graduated from Sauk Prairie High School. She married Ronald Wagner on December 5, 1970, and they enjoyed 54 years together in Waunakee. Barb was employed by American Girl for 27 ½ years until her retirement in 2017.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, visiting with friends and family, and traveling on the road with her husband, Ron. She always looked forward to shopping with her grandchildren and would open the checkbook to ensure they had everything they wanted. She enjoyed baking pies and cookies for the kids, or anyone else that asked.
Barb is survived by her husband, Ronald Wagner; children, Chad (Heather) Wagner, Robin (Lisa Lepeak), Joshua (Laura Pauers); her grandchildren, Meg Wagner, Owen Wagner, and Will Lepeak; her siblings, Fred (Julie) Roelke, Larry (Lois) Roelke, Susan (Mark) Wood, and Scott (Kathi) Roelke: and many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Roelke; her brother, Rich Roelke; her nephew, Sean Wood; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Bertilla Wagner.
Barb’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers for the care and comfort she was given during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Barb Wagner to Dane County Humane Society or DAIS (abuseintervention.org)
