Barbara Ann Chamberlain
1946-2025
SCARBOROUGH--Barbara Ann Chamberlain, 78 of Scarborough, Maine, born in Boston, MA on July 5, 1946, passed away on February 12, 2025, with her whole family by her side.
She was loved by all her family and friends. They were all touched by her unconditional love for people and animals.
She worked as a switchboard operator at Maine Medical Center for most of her life. She had a love for spending time with family, knitting, crafts, yearly trips to the Fryeburg Fair, spending time at Sebago Lake, and sleepovers with her grandchildren. On any given special occasion, she was sure to request seafood. Trips to Bay Haven and clam cakes from Huot's were some of her favorites. She loved listening to Elvis in her younger years. Later on, dancing and singing to some hip hop when the grandchildren got older.
She is survived by her son, Donald L. Chamberlain Jr., daughter Kelly L. Chamberlain Boccia and son-in- law, John Boccia. Grandchildren; Amanda Guay and partner Chuck Fagone, Amy Fontaine and husband Seth Fontaine, Kayla Keller and husband Robert Keller, Kristen Chamberlain and fiancé Dakota Tarbox and Cameron Chamberlain. Great grandchildren; Tanner, Jax, and Rory.
Pre-deceased by her loving mother Dorothea E. Brackett, who was not only a parent, but she was also a strong supporter in raising her children. Last but not least, her dog and best friend, Bruin.
A special tribute to the staff at Russell Park Rehabilitation & Living Center for supporting and loving her through her final stages of life.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Hobb's Funeral Home, 671 US-1 Scarborough, Maine, followed by a reception at the same location.
