Barbara Justice, 70, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 8:46 am July 20, 2025 at her residence. She was born August 26, 1954, in Mount Vernon, Illinois, to the late Billy C. and Ruby (Fryar) Watts.
Barbara is survived by her son, Vincent Justice and wife, Torie; daughter, Veronica Justice; grandchildren, Adrian, Amari, Amias, and Oswald; sister, Diana Gonzales; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Philip Watts.
Barbara was a graduate of MVTHS and attended SIU-C. She was very creative, had a wonderful sense of humor, and enjoyed playing computer games. She worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon and later at Wal-mart and Kmart. Barbara had very long, dark, curly hair she was very proud of. She loved her kids, grandkids, her cigarettes, and her big gulp of Dew! She was supportive of her family and will be dearly missed.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
