Barbara Jean (Morrow) Sterner, 62, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 4, 1962, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the daughter of Willard and Donna (Waganek) Morrow.
Barbara graduated from Edgewood High School in 1980 and later attended Kent State University, where she studied accounting. A dedicated and hard worker, Barbara was employed at Hodge Foundry Inc. in Greenville, PA, and Welded Tubes Inc. in Orwell, OH, for several years. On March 11, 1989, she married Karl Sterner, who passed away two weeks before her.
Barbara had a passion for crafting and tending to her flower beds. Her favorite hobby was working with her miniature horses-she raised, trained, and showed them, earning many awards over the years. She also enjoyed baking and participated in numerous fair competitions. Most of all, Barbara deeply loved her family.
She is survived by her siblings: Debra Morrow, James "Jim" (Benita) Morrow, and Sandra "Sandy" (Steven) McCormack; stepchildren: Karl Jr. and Mandy; her niece Rebecca; and many other nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Karl Sterner.
