Barbara June Wright passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 94. Barbara was born on June 14, 1931, in Byron Center, the daughter of Russell and Jennie (Golds) Sterken.
Barbara began her career at General Motors as a medical secretary. It was at the Fisher Body Plant that Barbara met the man who would become her husband, Jim Wright. Later, she joined Lear-Siegler as a word processor. Barbara also operated the family farm with her husband for many years.
A remarkable aspect of Barbara's life was her passion for gardening. As a master gardener, her skill and knowledge were vividly displayed in the vibrant colors and intricate designs of her well-kept gardens. Barbara found kinship and support amongst fellow enthusiasts in the Middleville Quilter Club. An active life led Barbara to embrace the sport of golf, an interest she shared joyfully with her husband for many years.
Barbara is survived by her children, Jim (Becky) Wright and Michael (Melissa) Wright, grandchildren, James (Michelle) Wright and Noah Wright, and great grandchild, Casey Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Wright.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Please visit www.beelergoresfuneral.com to share a memory or to leave a condolence message for Barbara's family.

Met Barb when she started coming to the quilting group. She was so much fun and I loved all her stories. She could keep us laughing. She often spoke of family and you could tell she loved her family.
