Tupelo—At the age of 94, Beatrice Estess passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at the Green Houses of Traceway Retirement Community. Bea was born January 7, 1931 in Montgomery County, Mississippi to Pearl and Mariah Williams. Before her decline in health Bea enjoyed sewing and gardening. She also enjoyed her part time work at the Hancock Fabric Store in Tupelo. Bea was a faithful member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. She then enjoyed the wonderful care she received at Traceway.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tommy Estess Sr.; a brother, Wayne Williams; and step-grandson, Brian Estess.
She is survived by four step-sons, Tommy Estess Jr. (Joanette), Charles Estess (Shelia), Joe Estess (Kim), Kline Estess (Dawn); six step-grandchildren; and three nephews.
A private family burial will take place at Lee Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. Pegues Funeral Directors is honored to handle the arrangements.
