Beatrice Juanita (Mann) Fitzpatrick, 84, passed away peacefully at Covered Bridge Health Center on August 1, 2025. She was born June 8, 1941, in Madison, Indiana, to the late Orville A. and Stella (Burdine) Mann, and lived a life marked by deep faith, love for others, and joyful connection with the Deaf community.

A proud graduate of the Indiana School for the Deaf, Beatrice remained closely connected to the school throughout her life. She and her beloved husband, John Fitzpatrick, whom she married on June 31, 1972, both dedicated over 20 years of service there before retiring. Their shared passion for education and the Deaf community left a true legacy.

Beatrice lived for many years in Erie, Pennsylvania, before returning to Indianapolis, Indiana, and later settling in Seymour following retirement. Her home was always open to family, friends, and especially her cherished cats, who held a special place in her heart. A woman of unwavering faith, she deeply loved the Lord and found great joy in sharing His Word. Her church family and her brothers and sisters in Christ were a central part of her life, and she cherished every moment spent in worship, fellowship, and service. In her free time, Beatrice enjoyed traveling, crafting, and long conversations with her Deaf friends, whether in person or through video phone. Her creativity, warmth, and faith-filled spirit touched many lives.

Beatrice is survived by her brothers, Rev. Orville J. (Nena) Mann, Jr., and Carl E. (Shirolet) Mann; sister, Barbara J. (Freddie) Froedge; several nephews and nieces; a number of cousins; and a few close and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Orville A. Mann, Sr., and Stella Marie (Burdine) Mann; husband, John R. Fitzpatrick; brother, Ronald C. Mann; sister-in-law, Sandra Sue Mann; niece, Darla Kay Mann; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Beatrice will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. Rev. Larry Arrowood of Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the service begins.
