Beatrice "Bea" Rudolph, nee Hassen, age 96, long-time resident of Des Plaines, beloved wife for 49 years of the late Herbert Rudolph; loving mother of Larry (Jean) Rudolph, Kathy Rudolph, Ellen (David) Kay, and the late Alan Rudolph; adored grandmother of Jennifer (Thomas) Kach, Christopher (fiancée Leah Wydro) Rudolph, Michael Rudolph, Caitlin (Cody) Levison, Bill M. (Elizabeth) Latoria, Sarah Latoria, and Amanda (Michael Hippensteel) Latoria; treasured great grandmother of Logan, Vinny, and Jeffrey; devoted daughter of the late Leo and the late Elasta Hassen; grand "dog" mother of Bailey. Bea was an only child. She grew up with her aunts and uncles as her siblings. She was always very smart and attended college at the age of 16. Bea translated dictation at night when her children were young. She was a voracious reader her entire life. When her children were older, she worked at a few different jobs as an executive secretary and an administrative assistant. She took great pride in her work, and her bosses recognized her effort. Bea was an accomplished painter and attended a weekly 4-hour painting class for more than 30 years. She was very creative, doing needlepoint, crocheting, knitting, and crafts. Most of all, Bea was a kind, easygoing, friendly person, who touched everyone she met in a positive way.
Graveside service Thursday, October 23rd, 11:00 a.m. CT at Shalom Memorial Park, Section III Ramah, Rand & Wilke Rds., Arlington Heights. The service will be livestreamed on Bea's webpage at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org or an animal shelter of your choice. Info: The Goldman Funeral Group (847) 478-1600.
