Becky Ann Tyree, 60, of Shamrock died on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
Cremation and Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Becky Ann Gillpatrick Tyree was born February 15th, 1965 in Childress, Texas and passed quietly from this life in her own home July 1st, 2025 at the age of 60 years. She married Jay Tyree, January 9th, 1984 and to that union was born one daughter.
Becky was an amazing individual and capable of doing a number of different things. Perhaps her favorite things to do were art, teaching, and teaching art. Her classroom was like group therapy. Her students were able to relax, practice, and pick Becky's brain and actually get High School credit for doing so. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and Gaga and willingly, lovingly, compassionately, joined Jay in ministering to the church and, in particular, to other people's children (from littles to bigs and everyone in between). He was always free to invite groups to gather for a meal, shake hands and be friendly, while Becky made sure there was plenty to eat. I think her record was 110, but there's no telling how many lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Jay, of Shamrock; Her daughter, Elizabeth of Woodward, OK; Her Dad and Mother, David and Mary Gillpatrick, of Quanah, TX; Two sisters, Christine and Linda of Quanah, TX; a brother, Michael, of Montana; and two granddaughters, Alayna and Melody, of Woodward, OK; along with a plethora of nieces, nephews, spiritual family members, friends, and students.
Becky will be honored with a luncheon at noon on July 19th in the fellowship hall of the Shamrock Church of Christ corner of Wall and LaVille in Shamrock. If you plan to eat, please come at noon. If you would like to hug a neck or ten, but forgo the meal, please come around 1pm.
