Benjamin Daniel "Benny" Wagner, 23, of Long Lane, Missouri, passed away on July 14, 2025, in Long Lane. Born on March 29, 2002, in Lebanon, Missouri, Benny brought joy and laughter to those around him from the very beginning.
Benny worked at Poynter Concrete Products for a little over four years alongside his brother-in-law Nate and his boss Donald Poynter. During his time there, he grew not only in skill and experience but also into a responsible young man admired by those who worked with him. His dedication and growth were evident to all who knew him in the workplace.
He was a truly genuine person whose infectious smile and laugh could brighten any room. Benny had a gift for humor-whether it was sharing a perfectly timed meme or delivering a joke laced with dark humor to lighten the mood. He found joy in making others laugh and never missed an opportunity to bring levity to those around him.
Outside of work, Benny embraced life with enthusiasm. He enjoyed hiking through nature's beauty, kayaking on peaceful waters, playing video games, watching anime, and spending time chatting with friends. He especially cherished moments spent smoking with his buddies and spoiling his beloved nieces and nephews-Summer Miller, Addalyn Olson, Landon Wagner, and August Elliott-who brought him immense happiness.
He also fostered multiple meaningful friendships online, where his humor, honesty, and compassion resonated deeply with people across the world. Benny's ability to connect with others-whether in person or through a screen-was a testament to his kind and welcoming spirit.
Benny is lovingly remembered by his father Gregory Wagner; brothers Dakota Wagner, Ryan Elliott (and wife Dani), and Samuel Wagner; sister Cherokee (Wagner) Miller (and husband Nate); grandfather Ray Root; uncle Raymond Root (and wife Karon); as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother Wendy (Nollinger) Wagner; grandmother Valli Root; cousin Kyra Root; and others who now welcome him with open arms.
A celebration of Benny's life will be held on Saturday, July 26th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Lebanon First Assembly at 2601 W Elm Lebanon, MO, where Benny attended church. This service is family-directed. *If flowers are chosen to send for service in memory of Benny, please deliver directly to the church.
Though Benny's time with us was far too short, the memories he created-the laughter he sparked-will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May we honor his spirit by smiling through our tears and remembering the joy he so freely gave.
