Bernard Thomas, a man whose wit was as sharp as his analytical mind and whose creativity knew no bounds, has left the stage of life at the age of 56. Born on September 30, 1968, in the bustling city of Los Angeles, CA, Bernard made his final curtain call on June 25, 2025, in the peaceful town of McAlester, OK. His life was a rich tapestry woven with passion, humor, and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.

Bernard was the kind of guy who could fix your car while engaging in a conversation that made you feel welcomed. A graduate of Serrano Junior High School, he went on to become a skilled mechanic and vehicle detailer, treating every car like a masterpiece in need of his unique touch. It was often said that Bernard could hear what a car needed just by listening to its engine-a true "car whisperer."
Beyond the garage, Bernard was a maestro of melody, crafting tunes that could make your soul dance. His love for music was matched only by his fascination with the human mind and the mysteries of the spirit. He was the friend who'd offer you a song, a psychological insight, or an herbal remedy for what ailed you, all with a knowing smile.
As a father to Bernard E., Korie J., Bernard Z., Elizabeth, and Korie C., he instilled in his children the values of creativity, curiosity, and compassion. His parents, Jack and Bobbie Thomas, and his siblings, Melvin, Darlene, Anthony, and Catherine, will fondly remember Bernard as the family's unofficial philosopher and comedian. He was proceeded in death by his wife Korie E. Stevens.
In the spirit of Bernard's love for laughter, let's recall the words of the great Robin Williams: "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." Bernard lived by this mantra, embracing his spark of madness and sharing it with the world.
Those who knew Bernard understood that his analytical mind was always at work, dissecting the world's puzzles with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker. Yet, it was his fiery passion that truly defined him. Whether discussing the latest trends in healthy living or the healing power of food, Bernard's enthusiasm was infectious.
He approached life as one grand, cosmic joke, and he played his part with gusto. To be in Bernard's presence was to be in the company of a man who saw the humor in everything and had the uncanny ability to make you laugh until your sides hurt.
Bernard Thomas, the man who could find the funny in the mundane and the profound in the absurd, will be deeply missed. Here's to Bernard, who figured out more than most and left us all the richer for it.
