Beth Marie Lewis, 72, of Pleasant Hill, IA passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on October 12, 2024, after a courageous battle with endometrial cancer.
Beth was born in Le Mars, IA on October 5,1952 to Douglas and Donna Pullen. She graduated from Le Mars High School and Iowa Central Community College. Beth met Steven Lewis in college, and they were united in marriage on October 12, 1974. They had two daughters, Dawn and Laura. Beth later welcomed her third daughter, Kylie, in 1996. Beth worked at the Des Moines Post Office for 43 years before retiring in 2021.
Beth enjoyed reading, spending time with family, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, traveling to Maui with her sister Becky, and never missing her grandsons' sporting events. Beth will be remembered for her selflessness, humor, and a deep love for her daughters and grandsons.
Beth is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Donna Pullen, ex-husband Steven Lewis, grandparents, brothers-in-law, and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her daughters Dawn Lewis (Jeff Junker) of Grimes, IA, Laura Kirstein (Steve) of Pleasant Hill, IA, Kylie Waters of Altoona, IA, sisters Becky Dykstra of Portland, OR, Nancy Pullen of Lancaster, WI, grandsons Preston, Koby, and Jak Kirstein, and many other family members and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00-4:00 on Sunday, November 3rd at the Elks Lodge in Pleasant Hill, IA.
