Bettina "Tina" D. Schmaus, 46, of Woodville, WI, formerly of Park Rapids, MN, passed away on July 2, 2025 in Woodville, WI from genetic heart failure.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids, MN with a visitation one hour prior.
Tina was born on September 20, 1978 to Curt and Maxine (Burch) Larson in Cambridge, MN. She began her schooling at Calvary Baptist in Cambridge, then attended Laport School. Tina loved being a mother and grandmother. She took care of everyone and was very protective. She had a big heart and loved all people and critters. In addition to her biological children, Tina took care of many other kids over the years. She was very spontaneous, and loved going on adventures, especially tubing, fishing, and going to Rock Concerts. She was a huge Bret Michaels fan. Tina was quite a prankster and had a contagious laugh. There was never a dull moment with her. She was unapologetically her authentic self. Family oriented, she was an amazing and supportive sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was a Rockstar of a person and will be tremendously missed.
Tina is survived by her husband, Ben Schmaus, Sr.; her children, Ben, Jr. and Dakota; her grandchildren, Lily, Benjie, and Damian; her siblings, Tara Bourcy, Tammy Eischens, Thomas Cox, and Candy Larson; her niece and nephews, Keely and Kasen Bourcy, and Alex, Brandon, and Devin Eischens; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curt and Maxine Larson; her in-laws, Doris Yankton and Ben Schmaus; brother, David Dunfee; her nephew, Timothy Bourcy; her grandparents, Leroy and Lucille Burch; and numerous other relatives.
