Betty Jane Chandler, age 85, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025. She was born in Atwood, Oklahoma on July 31, 1939, to her beloved parents, Doc and Walsa Treat.

Betty grew up in Atwood and Oklahoma City. She attended U.S. Grant High School, where her lifelong love story with Dale Chandler began-he noticed her along his paper route and would give her a package of peanuts. Their bond blossomed into a marriage that spanned 70 years, filled with love, devotion, and deep friendship. Betty also gained a lifelong friend in her sister-in-law Arlene, and formed an unbreakable bond with her best friend Shirlene.

Betty lived life to the fullest. Her generous spirit touched everyone she met, and she was always eager to help others without hesitation. She had a passion for travel and visited many countries around the world, with a special love for cruises. Her vibrant personality and joyful approach to life left a lasting impression wherever she went.

She and Dale raised their three children-Randy, Rick, and Rhonda-in Mustang, Oklahoma, and cherished time spent at their ranch home in Allen. Betty's home was filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her legendary breakfasts-biscuits and gravy, chocolate gravy, bacon, eggs, and all the fixings-made with love for everyone gathered around her table.

Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her life was defined by her selflessness, warmth, and the joy she brought to others. She found happiness in helping others, traveling the world, and spending time with those she loved most. Whether sharing stories, meals, or memories, she created a legacy of kindness and generosity.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Walsa Treat; her brothers, Jack and Bob Treat; her sisters, Gloria Noblitt and Chloe Seamon; her sons, Randy and Rick Chandler; and her grandson, Bryce Chandler.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dale Chandler; her daughter Rhonda Price and husband David; and her grandchildren: Brandon Chandler and wife Alycea, Cassandra Pope and husband Ryan, Christina Chandler, Colby Chandler, Jason Price and wife Chelsea, Jeremy Price and wife Amber, and Jacey Haragan and husband Tyler.

She is also lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Ashton, Neveah, Mataly, Randi, Ali, Brandon Chandler Jr., Ayden Pope, Julyette Fox, Allie and Riley Pope, Aubrey, Lyla, Graham, Keegan Price, Ady and Jerex Price, and Chandler Haragan. She is survived by many other extended family and dear friends whose lives she touched deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Mustang on Wednesday, July 16th at 10:00 a.m. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
