Betty Lou Tester Dotson, 85 of Huddleston passed away Monday, August 11, 2025 at her residence. She was born on Tuesday, March 12, 1940, daughter of the late Wayne Tester and Edna Dotson Tester. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Russell Dotson and her son, Johnny Dotson.

Betty was a member of Palestine Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and enjoyed reading and crocheting.

She is survived by her son, Mark Dotson & wife, Taiwana; her daughter-in-law, Ester Dotson; brothers, James "Jimmy" Tester, Danny Paul Tester as well as ten grandchildren.

A special thanks to her caregivers, Haley Andrews and daughter-in-law, Taiwana Dotson for their loving care.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Palestine Baptist Church and a funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Jackie Carver & Pastor David Janney officiating. Interment will follow in the Palestine Church Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
