Mrs. Betty Jean Willis Fowler, age 83, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was born on October 4, 1941 to the late Albert and Tallie Wilson Willis. She married John Fowler on January 5, 1957. Their love produced four amazing children, Pam, John K., Tammy and Jim. They were a military family and lived on the East Coast for most of John's Navy career.
John preceded her on September 16, 2017, 16 months and 10 days later, their beautiful and oldest daughter, joined her Daddy in Heaven on January 26, 2019.
She leaves to carry on her memory, her three children, John K. (Angie), Tamela Simon (Philip) and Jim Fowler (Lisa); four grandchildren, Philip II (Christy), Brandi Knapper (Mike), Amanda DeRossett (Aarron) and Misty Breedlove (Rick); three great-grandchildren, Kellan and Ryan Knapper and Tygh DeRossett; sister, Mae Cameron; brother, Herman Willis (Doris); her Bible Study family and a host of many others.
Her children took great care of her.
A special thanks to her wonderful son-in-law who took her to most of her doctor appointments. With great patience he helped her out of the car with her walker.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 2, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of her service at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Hosparus.
