Betty Sue Holliday, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 21, 2025, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 81. Born on November 2, 1943, in Ohatchee, Alabama, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Clara Owens.
Betty dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and loving home for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Holliday; her parents, James and Clara Owens; and her son, Ronald Holliday. Betty's memory will be lovingly cherished by her surviving family: her six children, Amanda (Jeremy) Faybik, Dennis (Regina) Holliday, Keith (Carol) Holliday, Pamela (Doug) Matthews, Marvin (Michelle) Holliday, and Kenneth (Tracy) Holliday. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. Her brothers, Gene (Linda) Owens, Jimmy (Susan) Owens, and Harold Owens, along with numerous nieces and nephews, will fondly remember her kindness and generosity.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home. A service to honor Betty's life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00 am, followed by interment at Michigan Memorial Park.
