We are here to honor the life of Betty Lou Joan McNeely. She was born on October 14, 1929, in Janesville, Wisconsin and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 23, 2025 in Federal Way, Washington.
Betty was the cherished daughter of Robert E. and Helen L. Jones, and sister to Patricia A. Welch, all of whom preceded her in death.
She built a beautiful life with her husband, Robert S. McNeely, and together they raised their family.
As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Betty's legacy lives on through her children-Kathryn Lou McNeely-Mobley, Susan Marie Neff, Patricia Ann Nielsen, and Daniel Robert McNeely along with her ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Betty was a homemaker. Every family gathering was made special by her caring presence and her wonderful pies. Her talents were many: she had a keen eye for photography, a creative hand at sewing, and a love for vacationing at Lake Chelan, where she made countless cherished memories with those she held dear.
Betty was exceptionally kind-hearted and devoted to her faith. She was a lifelong member of The Church by the Side of the Road in Seattle, and was one of the early members of that church. Betty's faith was extremely important to her and all you had to do was look inside her bible to see that. She never let an opportunity to pray get away from her, and constantly prayed over her family, extended family, and her life as well.
Rest in peace, Betty Lou. You will be dearly missed and forever loved. We know you are with Jesus, your husband Bob, and all the many hundreds of lives you touched as well.
