Betty Lou Pullin Nance formerly of Whitesville West Virginia, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on May 31, 2025.

Betty Lou was born November 18, 1933 in Costa, West Virginia the fourth child of Grace Morris Pullin and Mack M. Pullin both of Ashford, West Virginia. After graduation from Sherman High School in Seth, West Virginia, she moved to Washington DC where she met and married her life partner John Nance of Tennessee. Betty Lou and John eventually settled in California where they raised their family of five daughters.

Betty Lou was a cherished and devoted mother, always nurturing her daughters with unconditional love and supporting them as they grew into adulthood. She was also an adoring grandmother with six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and active in the woman's bible study group.

Betty Lou was a licensed Escrow Officer in a California based escrow company from which she retired late in life. After retirement, she enjoyed ocean cruises, participating in a neighborhood woman's group, and pursuing her hobbies of crocheting, scrap booking, and gardening. From her West Virginia heritage, Betty Lou took to California with her that iconic symbol of the working culture she grew up in, the pickup truck. As her personal vehicle choice, she drove a pickup truck and left behind a vast collection of "little red pickup truck" memorabilia.

Betty Lou was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Nile Pullin, Eva Pullin Roach, and Mabel Pullin Hendricks. She is survived by her five daughters, Karen, Tracy, Lori, Sonia, and Debbie, grandchildren Scott, Rene, Laura, CJ, Erin and Natalie, and great grandchildren Brenden, Lainey, Nicky, and Brooklyn.

A graveside celebration of Betty Lou's life was held at the Oakdale Memorial Park, Glendora, California on June 30, 2025.
