Betty Nan Holcomb Smith, 82, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
She was born in Sumrall, MS on August 16, 1942, to John Robert Holcomb and Edith Broom Holcomb.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Clifton Smith and two brothers, John Robert Holcomb, Jr. and Charles Raymond Holcomb. She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Lott and Jeanette Smith of Gulfport and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She graduated from Long Beach High School and attended William Carey College before working at Hancock Bank and later TG&Y. She and Larry were married 21 years before his death in 1984. She was a member of Mississippi City United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed painting, needlework and keeping in close touch with her circle of long-time friends.
The family would like to thank Betty’s close friends and wonderful neighbors who have been so attentive to her through the years.
