Born on December 13, 1933, in Sunnyside, Washington to Clyde and Elsie (Lyon) Ward. When she was 7 years old, the family, including her younger brother Jim, moved to a farm in the Krain area of Enumclaw.
In High School, Beverly played the violin in the E.H.S. Orchestra and was a Majorette. She graduated in 1952 from Enumclaw High School. After graduation, Beverly attended Green River Junior College for a semester to enhance her secretarial skills. Then, she and her friend, Jeanette Osborn, moved to Seattle for secretarial jobs. Fall of 1953, Jeanette was getting married, so the girls moved back to Enumclaw. Beverly took a job at Mutual of Enumclaw.
In 1954, Beverly married William J Haynen, Jr and they made their home in Enumclaw and raised their three children. Beverly enjoyed decorating the home for the holidays, making homemade meals with dessert, sewing and playing the piano. As busy as she was, she still made time for her passion for gardening. Her gardens contained nearly everything found in a nursery. From a Magnolia tree to the Hot Lips Salvias plant that attracted hummingbirds.
Years later, Beverly decided it was time to go back to work. To sharpen up those secretarial skills, she volunteered in the office at Rainier State School. Then she worked for many years at Pacific Propeller in Kent, Washington. When she left Pacific Propeller, she continued playing the piano, then the organ and working in the garden (Oh, La La!)
Beverly was preceded by her parents; husband; brother, Jim; and grandson, Brandon J Haynen.
She is survived by her brother, Stan (Vickie) Ward; sister, Linda (Neil) Lowrey; daughter, Phyllis Haynen; sons, J. Calvin Haynen and William J Haynen III; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The Service will be held on Monday, June 2 at 11:00AM at Weeks Funeral Services in Buckley, Washington.
