Beverly M. Schiets, 77 of Fremont, OH died Monday, July 21, 2025 at the home of her son and surrounded by her family while under Hospice Care. She was born September 30, 1947 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Ernest and Ethel (Millinger) Stone. She was a 1965 graduate of Salem-Oak Harbor High School. On August 31, 1968 she married Michael Schiets, and he survives. Bev worked most of her life in Payroll at Fremont Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. In her spare time, Bev enjoyed doing yardwork, spent many years selling Longenberger Baskets, from which she received many awards, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Michael of Fremont, OH; daughter Tammy (Bobby) Ward of Fremont, OH; son Ryan (Stacie) Schiets of Fremont, OH; grandchildren: Lydia, Brooke (Sam), Tate, Shylie, and Tyler; great-grandchildren: RaeLyn, Ryder, & Raiden; and sister Norma Nehls. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Richard & Gary Stone.
All Services will be handled privately by the family, with her final resting place to be at Faith Lutheran Cemetery in Fremont, OH. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserpriesman.com.
