Bill Norrid of Malden passed away at Mercy Hospital Stoddard in Dexter on Wednesday September 17, 2025 at the age of 95 years, 8 months, and 21 days. Bill was born on Friday December 27, 1929 to the late Alton Norrid and Susan B. Anderson Norrid in Malden, Missouri. He was a graduate of UMKC earning a pharmacy degree and was the owner of Norrid City Drug in Malden. Bill served his country honorably in the United States Army in a MASH unit during the Korean War. He was a long time member of the Malden United Methodist Church and was a recreational pilot.
On December 31, 1951, William E. Norrid was united in marriage to Norma June Staves Norrid in Kansas City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on November 26, 1999. Also preceding him in death were his son, William Thomas Norrid, daughter, Jana Culp, and daughter-in-law, Sandra Louise Norrid. His survivors include: son, Terry Norrid of Malden; son-in-law, Walker Culp of Malden; grandson, Tommy Norrid of Ozark, Missouri; granddaughter, Christa Campbell of Malden; great grandchildren, Mason Riley, Jackson Norrid, Lily Belle Norrid, and Whitley Rose Norrid.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday September 27, 2025 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden. Graveside service will follow at 1:30 PM Saturday September 27, 2025 at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden. Landess Funeral Home and Crematory in Malden is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Norrid had a long life, some times good and sometimes tragedy, but he stayed strong regardless. My prayers go out to Terry and his family.
