Mr. Billy "Bill" Larry Bailey, 87, entered into rest on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
Mr. Bill is survived by his children: Wanda Boyle and her husband Todd, Larry Bailey and his wife Gwen, and Tony Bailey and his wife Joy. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Danny Peel and his wife Tristan, David Peel, Sydney Boyle, Tamara Hopkins and her husband Charles, Alyshua Medlin and her husband Robbie, Tyler Ott, Dalton Bailey and his wife Leslie, Sean Bailey, Lincoln Bailey, Brent Bailey and his wife Esther, and Vicki Bailey and her significant other Jerry Rose; great grandchildren, Jace Peel, Nathan Peel, Quinn Peel, Sage Peel, Madison Peel, Charles Hopkins, Autumn Hopkins, Romeo Rodriguez, Zoey Rodriguez, Liam Medlin, Paisley Medlin, Brent Bailey Jr., Jacob Bailey, Abigial Bailey, Elora Bailey, Elaina Bailey, Madilyn Rose, and Billie Rose, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Bill was born on April 30, 1938, to the late George Bailey and the late Ruby Brown Bailey. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years until her passing in 2024, Minnie Carleen Bailey, son, Billy Ray Bailey; and his siblings: Albert Bailey, Raye Richardson, Jeanette Stone, Nelson Bailey, and Harvey Bailey.
Mr. Bill retired from Guignard/Boral Bricks in 2003 after 43 years of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The Bailey family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Amedisys Hospice for the care given to Mr. Bill.
Visitation will be 1:30-3 pm on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 3 pm also in the chapel. Burial will follow at Pelion Oaklawn Cemetery.
