William "Billy" Lloyd Davis, 72, of McCormick, husband of Sherry Davis, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at his home. Born on November 19, 1952 in Ware Shoals, SC, he was a son of the late Allen W. Davis and Melba Thomoson Davis. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Billy was a maintenance manager for Smith and Water Transportation in Ware Shoals, where he was known for his hard work and dedication to the job. However, it was his love for his family that truly defined him. Billy enjoyed the simple pleasures in life especially deep-sea fishing during his time in Key Largo, FL. He loved to share his stories of all his adventures, and his easy-going nature meant he never met a stranger. A member of First Baptist Church of McCormick, he lived his life with a spirit of kindness and a heart full of love. In addition to his commitment to family and community, Billy served his country in the US National Guard for seven years. In addition to his wife, Sherry, he is survived by his daughter, Missy Sims; stepson, Greg Seigler (Jennifer); sister, Becky Hodges (Keith); grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Ty, and Eli Seigler; and great grandchildren, Brantley and Nixon Seigler. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Bucky Seigler and brother, Joe Allen Davis. Services, with military honors, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Gulledge officiating. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Terry Boyter, Ricky Pruitt, Wayne Pruitt, Daniel Seigler, Jon Davis, and Jason Davis. Honorary escort will be Ty Seigler, Andrew Seigler, Eli Seigler, and Brantley Seigler. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McCormick First Baptist Church, PO Box 416, McCormick, SC 29835. To view service click here https://youtube.com/live/FnUECXLKP3g?feature=share
