Mr. Billy Roland Sessoms, 83 passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Bethesda Healthcare Facility in Eastover.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, officiating will be Bishop Bryan Strickland. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Billy was born in Sampson County to the late Roland Sessoms and Celester Metha Wise Sessoms. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Louise Sessoms; brothers, Bobby and Jackie Sessoms; and his sister-in-law, Margie Sessoms.

Billy was the owner of B & R Motors of Stedman for many years. He was also a longtime member of Mount Carmel Church of God of Prophecy. He loved fishing, watching Nascar Racing and westerns.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Karen Sessoms Harrell of Autryville, Jamie Sessoms & wife, Tammy of Autryville, Denna Sessoms Dreyer & husband, Edward of Palmetto, FL, Sam Cooke & wife, Debbie of Stedman, Theresa McLean & husband, Mark of Boone, and Kay King & husband, Tracy of Godwin; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Brenda Tanner of Roseboro; and sister-in-law, Oloby Sessoms of Roseboro.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethesda Healthcare Facility for their love and care during Billy's stay.
