Billy Ray Stanley, Sr. 67 of Hamburg, AR, passed Friday, July 11, 2025, at Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett, AR. He was a native of Parkdale, AR, but lived most of his life in Hamburg. He was a retired carpenter, and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Latrice Stanley (1997), his parents, Levell (1993) and Mable Godfrey Stanley (1974), maternal grandmother, Ozell Day (2014), three brothers, James Stanley (1999), Johnny 'Dumas' Stanley (2020), Levell 'Boe' Stanley (2021), and a sister, Pearletha Freda Ray (1992). Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing dominoes, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two sons, Billy Ray Stanley, Jr., and Raylon Stanley both of Hamburg, AR, three daughters, Whitney Stanley and Lillian N. Stanley both of Hamburg, AR, and Shari Davis of Dallas, TX, two brothers, Glen 'Dusty' (Ada) Stanley of Hamburg, AR, and Robert 'Maine' (Ramona) Stanley of Crossett, AR, two sisters, Jacqulyn Cason of Hamburg, AR, and Kim Barnes of Biscoe, AR, two grandchildren, Damondre and Latrice Crawford, companion, LaTiffany Thompson, nieces, nephews, several other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Tuesday, July 15, 2025, 5:00-6:00 P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Funeral service is Wednesday, July 16, 2025, 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Ephraim Johnson officiating. The pallbearers are Nathaniel Wilson, Y.T. Singleton, Walter Jenkins, Eddie Davidson, Ethan Davidson, and Javan Long. Honorary pallbearers are Shaw Hunting Club. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas.
