Bob was born on September 30, 1938, in Sudan, Texas, where he spent his life devoted to his family, his community, and his passions. On February 24th, 1957, Bob married the love of his life Patty Ruth (Gosdin). They were inseparable for over 68 years. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1962, as part of the 5th Air Force, Detachment 2, 314th Air Division, Mountain Home Idaho & Osan Korea.

Bob loved the outdoors and was always ready for an adventure - whether he was fishing in Port Aransas with his family, hunting deer or birds with his boys, searching for arrowheads, or even hunting rattlesnakes. He was also known for his storytelling, often sharing memories of his childhood and his time in the military with anyone willing to listen.
