Bobby Richardson Obituary

Bobby Dean Richardson passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at his home in League City, Texas at the age of 88.
Bobby was born on December 28, 1936 in Sweetwater, Texas, to Willett Everitt and Mildred Aucutt Richardson.
Bobby attended Sweetwater High School. After graduating from high school he earned a Bachelors and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He was in B Ordinance of the Corp of Cadets. He served eight years in the Army Reserves.
He married Marcia Ann Neeper on May 23, 1959 at the Interfaith Chapel, College Station, Texas, the day he received his Bachelor's Degree.
He worked for the Army Missile Command in Huntsville, Alabama for 31 years. He ended his career as the chief engineer for the Multiple Launch Rocket System, an international project. He traveled extensively in Europe during the development of this weapon which was used in Iraq and Ukraine.
He loved a good fire in the fireplace, visiting New Orleans, jazz music and seafood.
Bobby and Marcia lived in Alabama for 54 years and moved back to Texas in 2014.
Bobby passed away at home on July 22, 2025 with his wife and daughters at his side. He is survived by Marcia, his wife of 66 years, daughter Wendy Richardson (Jim Thompson), daughter DeAnn Jacobs (Steve) and grandchildren Summer Thompson, Sol Thompson, Kelly Jacobs and James-Marie Jacobs and one great grandchild Quinn Robertson and many loving friends.
Burial in Sweetwater, Texas arrangements pending.
