Bobby West Obituary

Bobby West, age 90 of Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Bobby was born on July 9, 1934, to the late Walter and Sally Smith West. He worked and retired from civil service at Fort Eustis. He enjoyed golfing and gardening. He always put his family first. He was a kind and gracious man who will be sorely missed. Bobby is survived by his children, Kimberly Kapalka (Roger Covert) and Timothy Kapalka (Robin), as well as his grandchildren: Corinne Kapalka, Samantha Campbell, William Kapalka, Gabriel Kapalka, and Gwyn Kapalka. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Union Baptist Church 9254 Guinea Road, Hayes, VA 23072, officiated by Pastor Michael Lawhorn and Pastor David Price, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Gloucester Point Cemetery at 1860 Hayes Road, Gloucester Point, VA 23062. In memory of Bobby, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O.
