Bonnie Lou Andrews, age 82, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Bonnie was born on April 28, 1943, in Waukon, Iowa, to James and Lillian Meikle. She grew up in Waukon, where her family lived and worked at the Grand Hotel, creating many cherished childhood memories alongside her sisters, Joanne and Sheila.
Bonnie married Galen Barth, and together they had two children, Brenda and Jason. Their family later moved to Northern Wisconsin for Galen's work. After some time, Bonnie and her two children made their home in Mercer, Wisconsin, where she built a career as a district manager for Avon while raising her children as a single mother.
There she met Richard Jerow, and they moved to Monticello, Iowa, where they welcomed a daughter, Bernadette (Bernie). Some years later, Bonnie divorced and married Claude Andrews. Together they built their dream home on Lake Delhi, creating many joyful memories.
Bonnie was a loving and generous mother, wife, and friend. She had a gift for hospitality, bringing family and friends together for campfires, boat rides, and celebrations. She loved her dogs, fishing, gardening, and cooking. Bonnie was also a very talented artist, and her creativity touched many lives.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents: James and Lillian Meikle; her husbands: Galen Barth and Claude Andrews; her son, Jason Barth; and her sister, Joanne Burreson.
She is survived by her daughters: Brenda (Ray) Farrell and Bernadette Jerow; step-son, Rick Andrews; her grandchildren: Luke(Mandy), Sam (Mariah), Noah, Izabella, Beau, and June; her great-grandchildren: Stella, Henry, and Vivian; and her sister, Sheila. She is also remembered fondly by many dear friends and extended family.
A small family service will be held at a later date. Bonnie will be laid to rest in her home state of Iowa, reunited with her husband, Claude, and her son, Jason, at Lake Delhi. Valley Funeral Home, of Appleton, is assisting the family with arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.valleyfh.com.
