Mrs. Bonnie Lou (Carmack) Beach Simon, age 73, of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on January 12, 1952 in Oneida, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late Isaac and Nancy Marie (Burns Couch) Carmack. She graduated from Carroll County High School and she later pursued a degree in nursing from Kentucky State University. Bonnie was united in marriage to William Albert "Billy" Beach on November 2, 1968 in Carrollton, Kentucky. This happy union of nearly 43 years was blessed with a daughter Angela. Bonnie was a former chemical operator for Atochem in Carrollton, Kentucky for 11 years. She was later employed as a supervisor for Carrollton Manor Nursing Home for several years. She was also employed for Belterra Casino & Resort in Florence, Indiana and for ATS Wheels in Warsaw, Kentucky for several years. Bonnie was united in marriage to Dale Charles Simon on January 24, 2015 in Aurora, Indiana. Bonnie was a member of the Indiana Extension Homemakers Club and attended the Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church in Vevay, Indiana. Bonnie enjoyed crafting, thrift shopping, mowing the yard, cooking and baking. She was a talented piano musician and enjoyed singing. She loved her birds, Pretty Boy and Pretty Girl and her cat, Ms. Kitty. Bonnie had a kind soul and was always there to lend a helping hand. Bonnie passed away at 6:20 a.m., Sunday, January 26, 2025, at her residence.
Bonnie will be missed by her spouse, Dale Charles Simon of Switzerland County, IN; her daughter, Angie Haskell and her husband, Eddie of Bennington, IN; her grandchildren, Angelique Combs and her husband, Adam, Traci Walston and her husband, Joe, Luke Haskell and his wife, Casey, and Lauren Haskell; her great-grandchildren, Jachoby McKay, Kiley Combs, Marielee McKay, Addie Combs, Landon Walston, Aria Haskell, Myia Haskell, Kenzie Walston, Matthew Haskell, Addyson Haskell, Haven Haskell, Tanner Reedy, Jason Haggard, Justin Weaver, and Jordan Weaver; her brothers, Ronnie Carmack of Carrollton, KY and Jerry Keith Carmack of Branson, MO; her step-children, Elizabeth Newman and her husband, Dan of Columbus, IN, and Gina Orlando and her husband, Rob of Dayton, OH; her step-grandchildren, Julia Orlando, Adeline Newman, Matthew Orlando, Benjamin Newman and Avery Orlando; and her several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Isaac Carmack, died September 19, 2014; her mother, Nancy Marie (Burns Couch) Carmack, died November 22, 1992; her husband, William Albert "Billy" Beach, died May 19, 2011; her great-granddaughter, Hadley Grace Haskell, died August 12, 2021; her sisters, Christine Payton, died August 18, 1993, and Vicky Denise Harlow, died July 3, 2024; her brother, Kash Carmack, died September 9, 2014; her step-son, Eric Dale Simon, died October 7, 2022; her niece, Leonda Carol Smith, died May 4, 2014; and her nephew, Kash Anthony Carmack, died April 17, 2022.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2025, by Pastor Pat Lanman, at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
