Brad McGehee Obituary

Brad McGehee, a native of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away on June 30, 2025.
Brad graduated from Choctawhatchee High School and earned a degree in finance from the University of West Florida. He built and ran a successful roofing company for 20 years, with his crews installing countless roofs throughout the area and earning spots on the Parade of Homes list multiple times.
Brad didn't stop at roofing. Over the years, he and Adrienne took on properties together. Brad did most of the work himself, with big help from his guys. He loved the satisfaction of turning something old into something new and took pride in every detail.
Brad loved boating, dove hunting with friends, and kicking back with a cold beer and a smoke.
Brad loved racing his wave runners. You could catch him and Adrienne flying down the bayous or intracoastal waters at full speed during the summer months, both of them grinning from ear to ear.
Later in life, he discovered a passion for bird watching. He spent hours each day waiting for the osprey to show up, catch its meal, and tear it apart.
Brad also took pride in the little things around the house - always painting or caulking, never letting a crack or peel go untouched.
Brad loved his mama deeply and was always proud of where he came from. He was a good provider and worked hard to make sure his family was taken care of.
Brad is survived by his wife, Adrienne McGehee; his daughter, Bailey McGehee; his brother, Bryan McGehee and his wife, Michele McGehee.
A celebration of Brad's life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Elks Lodge 1795, 1335 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. Light beverages and refreshments will be served. Family and friends are invited to come share stories and honor his memory.
Brad will be remembered for his strong spirit, sharp mind, love of the outdoors, and the deep love he held for those closest to him To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Brad, please visit our floral store.
