Brady Colin Hunter, born on November 4, 1970, in North Carolina, went into the arms of his heavenly Father on July 27, 2025, in Chesapeake, VA. At the age of 54, Brady left this earth having touched the lives of many with his unwavering compassion and boundless spirit.

Brady was a man of many talents and passions. As a skilled carpenter, he was renowned for his ability to transform wood into breathtaking pieces of furniture, each crafted with precision and care. In the later years of his career, he took up landscaping, where his meticulous attention to detail ensured that every garden he tended looked pristine and vibrant.

Beyond his professional life, Brady was a man who cherished the simple joys of life. He loved sailing, finding peace and adventure on open waters. An avid animal lover, Brady had a unique gift for understanding and respecting all living creatures. Whether it was gently escorting a stray bug outside or rescuing animals in distress, Brady's compassion knew no bounds. His profound respect for all forms of life served as an inspiration to those around him.

Brady's life was marked by his courage, patience, and unwavering faith. He was known for performing good deeds anonymously, never seeking recognition but always striving to make the world a better place. His love for life was palpable, and his kindness left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his devoted mother and best friend, Julia Melvin; his brother, Aaron and sister-in-law Autumn; two cherished nephews; aunts, Harriett Jones, Toni Miller, and Caroline; Loeser, uncles, Calvert and his wife, Cybele Hunt and Ted Hunt; and many extended family members, and let's not forget, his loyal furry companion, Buckwheat. Brady's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories of his gentle spirit and generous heart.

Services to celebrate Brady's life will be held at First Church South Norfolk, located at 1605 Bainbridge Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23324. The date and time of the service will be announced at a later date.

The family extends a special thank you to Leya at Interim Hospice for her compassionate support and caring nature during Brady's final days.

Brady Colin Hunter's life was a testament to the power of kindness, courage, and faith. Though he has departed from this world, his spirit and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.
