Brenda Lemaster
1951-2025
"God saw her getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around her and whispered, 'Come to Me.'"
Brenda Lemaster, age 74, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, passed peacefully away while resting at Morning Pointe on July 4, 2025.
Brenda was born on May 2, 1951, a precious gift to the late Oliver Dewey and Joyce Ann Robinson Hawk. A proud graduate of Catlettsburg High School. Brenda spent her life in the small town of Catlettsburg, where she would meet the love of her life and build a beautiful life of her own. It was there she poured her heart into raising her beloved son, creating a home that was full of warmth, love, and a sense of safety that only a mother's devotion can provide.
Brenda found joy not only in her role as a mother, but also in working outside the home. She brought her sharp mind and knack for business to Rolling Meadows and Riverbend Golf Courses, ensuring the day-to-day operations ran like clockwork. Her talent for leadership and organization was later carried into her role as Dispatcher River Cities Courier, a position that demanded both efficiency and heart two things Brenda had in abundance. Her welcoming smile and kind spirit left an impression on everyone she encountered.
Her compassion extended beyond people Brenda had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs. She cared for them with tenderness just like the same steadfast love she gave to those closest to her. Brenda had a deep faith in God. She attended Oakland Avenue Baptist Church, where her spirit was nourished and her heart found peace.
Brenda leaves behind her loving husband of 55 years Leon Lemaster, her beloved son Bryan Lemaster of Ashland, Kentucky, one brother Mike Hawk and wife Nancy of Lexington, KY.
In addition to her parents, Brenda is enjoying a heavenly Reunion with one brother, Doug Hawk. Brenda was also met just across the Rainbow Bridge by her beloved Companion Max. It was a reunion that was full of love and wagging tails.
In order to honor the wishes of Brenda, A private service was held in her memory by her close friends and family.
