In Loving Memory of Brittany Nicole Ingles
Brittany Nicole Ingles, 35, of Sorento, Illinois, passed away on April 11, 2025. She was born in Breese, Illinois, and grew up surrounded by family and friends in the close-knit community of Sorento.
Brittany was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother whose greatest joy in life was her son, Grayson McDonald. Her love for Grayson was unwavering, and she poured her heart into being the best mom she could be.
Brittany graduated from Bond County Community Unit #2 High School in 2007 and continued to Kaskaskia College, where she earned her associate's degree in nursing in 2011. She was proud of her career in healthcare, where she was known for her compassion and dedication.
Throughout her life, Brittany faced many challenges, but she met each one with courage, resilience, and a fierce determination to rise above. Her strength was an inspiration to those around her, and her ability to find light in the darkest moments will never be forgotten.
Brittany had a kind heart, a vibrant personality, and a strength that carried her through life's challenges. She will be remembered not only for her deep love for her family but also for the light she brought into the lives of those around her.
Brittany's warmth, laughter, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Preceding in death are maternal grandparents, Doris & Clifford Ingles and paternal grandmother, Joann Burlison.
She is survived by her son, Grayson McDonald of Greenville, Illinois; her parents, Brian and Kim Burlison of Sorento, Illinois; her sister, Heather Lemery (Matt Lemery) of St. Charles, Missouri; her brother, Nicholas Burlison of Sorento, Illinois, and grandfather, Mike Burlison of Sparta, Illinois.
Though her time here was far too short, the impact Brittany made will live on forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
