Mr. Otis Marbury, 78, of Gadsden, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. He is survived by his loving family. We ask that you keep this family in your hearts and prayers during their time of bereavement.

A loving uncle, a loyal friend, a Christian servant. Bro. Otis Marbury begins a new life in a better world. For he served his God and humankind well in this world.

He was born to the late Leon and Josephine Marbury in Goodwater, Alabama and educated in the Goodwater School System. Otis was known for his ability to play the organ and blessed many people through his playing. His sweet personality and kind spirit will always be remembered by those who were blessed to know him.

He taught us the real meaning of real joy, a prevailing faith, enduring courage and the dignity of love. He was full of humor but had a strong determination for life.

Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death: Mattie Leonard, Mrs. Mary Bennett. Pastor Susie McCloud, Mr. Leon Marbury and Mr. Julius Marbury.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends Greg Hughley and Joyce Simpson.

Public Visitation will be held from 12noon-6pm on Friday, August 15, 2025 at West Gadsden Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at held at 2PM on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at New Canaan Baptist Church.

Pastor Edward Jones, officiating.
