Stanley Bruce Davis
May 3, 1952 - April 13, 2025
A memorial service for Stanley Bruce Davis, 72 of Dallas, TX will be at Bomar Point Cemetery, 2777 Ridge Rd, Wilson, OK 73463, on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 10:00 a.m..
Bruce was born May 3, 1952 in Ardmore, OK to the late Wesley Gilbert Davis (Bub) & Bettie Jo Mayes Davis. He departed this life peacefully on April 13, 2025 in Dallas, TX.
Bruce attended Wilson Public Schools for 12 years and graduated in 1970 and went on to graduate from Murray State College. In the mid-70's Bruce moved to Dallas, TX to pursue his career in business administration. For most of his professional career he was an account executive for Decibel Products in Dallas, TX until his retirement in 1993.
Like his parents, Bruce had a passion for gardening and his and his friends' homes were a testament to such. He became a Master Gardener and built a great clientele while starting his own landscaping business along with a handyman business. He loved beautifying the earth for all to enjoy. Bruce was highly intelligent and could discuss any subject matter with knowledge and interest. He loved the arts, museums, history and traveling the world which included 49 domestic states, Mexico, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean.
Most of his life in Dallas he lived in the Kessler Park community and formed lifelong friendships from the neighbors and those in "The Breakfast Club" which met at a neighborhood diner every Saturday morning.
Bruce also had a passion for cooking and was considered a gourmet chef and would spend endless hours in the kitchen preparing for a meal to share with his friends and family.
Bruce was a wonderful and loving son, brother, partner and friend. Everyone who met him loved him! He will be dearly missed and will leave a huge void in the lives of his family and friends.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Bub & Bettie Davis of Wilson, OK; and his nephew Wesley Davis of Norman, OK.
Bruce is survived by his sister Susan Gail (David) of Mt. Juliet, TN; and his brothers, Steve Davis of Norman, OK and Scott Davis (Kasey) of Kingston, OK; nephews Harrison Clayton of Rockport, IN and Jarod Davis of Kingston, OK; nieces Erin Davis Lehman of Norman, OK and Natalie Davis Schultz of Ardmore, OK; and many dear and close friends, especially Kathi Chandler and Susie Moody who were his surrogate sisters.
