Bryant Schivers Obituary

Bryant Dwight Schivers, Sr., 65, of Perkinston, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, at George Regional Hospital in Lucedale, MS. Bryant was born on August 3, 1959, in Gulfport, MS, to his parents, Clyde and Marie (Parker) Schivers. Bryant was a jack of all trades, from plumber to electrician to mechanic; he was very gifted and mechanically inclined. He was known to tear something all the way down to the frame and very meticulously paint every bolt and washer as he put it back together, better than before. If you needed something fixed, Bryant was the one you called. If he needed a part that wasn't available, then he would build the part he needed to ensure that it was fixed. Bryant loved being a mechanic and even more so, he loved racing and traveling with his good buddy, Daniel Rolison. Aside from cars, Bryant was a free spirit who lived his life the exact way that he wanted to. He loved his rock music, he loved to BBQ, and he loved people. Bryant never met a stranger and was always willing to help in any way that he could. Bryant had a zeal for life that many only ever dream of; he will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him. Bryant is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Schivers and Marie Doughty; one nephew, Derik Ladner, and one granddaughter, Bella Schivers. He is survived by one son, Bryant Schivers, Jr.; one daughter, Whitney (Lester) Kuykendall; eight grandchildren, Bryant III, Bailey, Braddock, Bracie, and Byers Schivers, Chasity, Kayden, and Brookley Kuykendall; three sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Anderson, Doris Schivers, and Toni Novack; three brothers, Bro. Clyde (Cynthia) Schivers, Robert "Bert" (Sherry) Schivers, and Clyde Lawrence; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whom he loved very much. Services for Bryant will be on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, beginning at 10:00 am for a graveside service at Rouse Cemetery in Saucier. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Schivers family during this time and would ask that you remember them all in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days ahead.
