With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bryce Holmes Anderson on July 26, 2025 at the age of 66. Bryce was a beloved husband, an amazing father, a loving grandfather and a devoted friend. Bryce was born on May 21, 1959 in Magrath, Alberta, Canada to Carol Warburton and Jim Anderson. He grew up spending the school year with his mom in Tooele and Vernon, Utah, and his summers in Magrath, Canada, with his Dad. Bryce learned how to work hard on the farm, moving pipe, milking cows, mending fences and tending pigs. He also managed to squeeze in some fun and a little bit of mischief. He was a member of FFA and won a blue ribbon for judging cow udders, and even went to Nationals. He attended Tooele High School, where he competed on the swim and cross country teams. He graduated in 1977, and attended one year at BYU before serving in the Italy, Rome mission. He loved the people he served and had a natural gift for the Italian language. After his mission, Bryce returned to BYU, graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1981, he married Donna Neaman in the Manti Temple; they later divorced. They settled in South Jordan, where they raised their four beautiful children. Bryce loved his children with all of his heart and was a caring and devoted father, the kind of Dad who would help his kids at the drop of a hat. He was their favorite handyman, fix-it guy and supporter. Bryce met and fell in love with Jennifer Williams. After a quick romance, they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 11, 2004. Together they had one daughter. They spent several years living in North Ogden and then moved to Cottonwood Heights, where they have lived for the last 15 years. They loved traveling, scuba diving, attending plays, cooking, and creating cherished memories. Bryce had a distinguished career in the aerospace industry. In 1984, he was hired by Hercules Aerospace and became a launch site manager in Florida, where he worked on the Titan solid rocket boosters. He built a career designing rocket motor components. He was a rocket scientist with a heart to serve. He dedicated the final years of his career sharing the knowledge and experience he had gained with multiple organizations of the Missile Defense Agency, where he served our nation as a rocket motor Subject Matter Expert. His guidance and advice informed the paths to resolution of many challenges faced by the teams he supported. He loved his job and had meaningful and lasting friendships with his co-workers. Bryce was an active and stalwart member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was enthusiastic about serving in whatever capacity he was called, whether refereeing a basketball game, serving in the Elders Quorum or on the High Council (his very favorite calling). For the last ten years, he served as an Ordinance Worker in the Salt Lake and Draper temples. He loved serving in the temple and cherished the friendships he developed with the brothers he served with. Despite struggling with his health over the past 23 years, which included many hospital stays and surgeries, Bryce faced these challenges with optimism, faith and resilience, while most people had no idea of what he was going through. He beat the odds so many times and astounded us with his ability to bounce back to health time and time again. These challenges finally took it's toll on his body, and Bryce passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. Bryce will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew him. Bryce is survived by his wife, Jennifer, his five children: Nicki (Ivan) Lucero, Crystal (Sean O'Donnell), Charles (Lynee) Ritchie, Kassie (Skylar) Iversen, and Isabelle Anderson, who is currently serving in the Bolivia, Santa Cruz mission. Grandchildren: Drake, Dakota, and Dax Iversen; Liam, Vivian, and Lennon Lucero; Jaqueline, Savanna, and Athena Ritchie, and Jackson O'Donnell. Father and stepmom: Jim and Charlotte Anderson. Siblings: DeAnne (Roger) Evans, Kendall (Susan) Anderson, Bruce (Laura) Warburton, Keith (Valerie) Warburton, Bobbi (Craig) Durfee, James (Shelby) Anderson, Dan (Tara) Anderson, Cynthia (James) Heninger, Joanne (Steve) Lafrance, and Tanya (Eddy) Hunt. Preceded in death by his mother, Carol Warburton, stepfather, Robert Warburton, and his dog, Scout.
