Buddy Earl Falkner, a beloved husband and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Born on September 24, 1944, in Texas, Buddy was a shining light in the lives of all who knew him.
A true car enthusiast, Buddy found joy in the intricacies of vehicles and shared that passion with friends and family. His dedication to his loved ones was unwavering; he was a devoted family man who always put their needs first. As a devout Catholic, Buddy found strength and inspiration in his faith, actively serving as a Eucharistic minister and reader during Mass. He prayed for the canonization efforts of Charlene Marie Richard, which reflected his deep spiritual commitment to his faith. Buddy was known for his kindness and generosity, a true "Buddy" to all. His warm spirit and infectious laughter left a lasting impression on all those fortunate enough to cross his path. Music was another passion of his; he found solace and joy in playing the piano and organ, often filling in where needed with melodies that brought people together.
Professionally, Buddy worked as an office and payroll manager with Brown and Root in Texas for over 20 years. He later transitioned to work with his wife in her medical practice, where he served as office manager, showcasing his commitment to family both at home and in his work.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 43 years, Erlinda Tan, MD; brother, Randy Falkner, and sister, Kimberly Falkner Hughes (Rick), along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
