Augusta-Carl Wayne Dean of Augusta, KY passed away July 26, 2025, at the Hospice of

Hope Care Center. Wayne was the son of the late Carl and Mila Dean. He is survived by

his love of over 20 years, Jackie Brooks, four children, Jessica (Mike) Baessler, Lacey

(Joseph) Gray, Jenna Dean and Ethan Dean, two stepchildren, Kile (Ashlee) Brooks

and Mandie (Royse) Hamilton, his brother, Ronnie (Christine) Dean, and 14

grandchildren, Lucas, Annaliese, Seth, Landon, Zoey, Luca, Ely, Luna, Josie, Evan,

Lexy, Kinleigh, Kirt, and Kimber.

Wayne went to school at Campbell County High School. He worked as a

steelworker for over 30 years and was a proud member of United Steel Workers Local

1970. Wayne loved antiquing and junking and upon retirement opened Riverboat

Treasures and Antiques in Augusta, KY. Wayne was an avid music lover and enjoyed

going to concerts and listening to local bands. He was a sports fan and cheered on his

children and grandchildren at Augusta and Bracken County Schools.

Funeral will be 11:00 am on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Moore & Parker Funeral Home in Augusta, KY. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Bracken County Cancer Club. Condolences may be sent to www.MooreAndParkerFH.com
