Carl Ranford Henderson, beloved Father and Grandfather was called home by his loving Heavenly Father February 10, 2025, while surrounded by his family.
Carl was born May 9, 1932 in Blackshear, Georgia to James and Birdie Henderson. Carl graduated from Blackshear High School. He was called to serve a 2-year mission in the Southern California Mission, USA for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Upon completing his mission, he volunteered to serve his country in the United States Army for two years in Germany.
After his honorable discharge, he married Melba Jane Burkehalter. They raised six children living in Georgia all their lives.
Carl worked 30 years as a salesman for Blue Cross & Blue Shield Insurance Company. He was a valiant disciple of the Lord and a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, having donated his time, talents and money to spread the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Carl found joy in the outdoors, gardening, and serving in the Temple. He especially enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He was renowned as a great cook and loved having large groups of friends and family to gather and eat together.
He is survived by his brother Ander Henderson (St. Marys Georgia), his children David (Nora), Joseph, Darren (Michelle), Julie (Matt) Ehlers, Jason (Jay), and Jared (Matthew) and six grandchildren.
