Carl Langle, age 84, of Viola, AR, passed away on Monday afternoon, August 11, 2025 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, Mountain Home, AR. Carl was born on May 23, 1941 in Lamesa, Texas to Bernie Langle and Corrine Way.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Bernie Henry Langle; mother Corrine Way; step-father Ed Way; wife Bonnie Aileen (Buehler) Langle; and granddaughter Amanda Ann Huskey.
Even though Carl had many skills that he applied to numerous jobs, he was a farmer at heart. He also loved horse racing and was an avid student of the American Quarter Horse breeding industry as evidenced by the many catalogs of breeding stock he collected. He later turned that passion to register Boer goats and Black Angus cattle. In his free time, you could find him sitting with a book, usually one with a western themed title. He enjoyed talking to people and truly never met a stranger. Carl attended the Viola Church of Christ church.
Carl is survived by his wife Shirley of Viola, AR; two sons, Rusty Langle (Jeannie) of Batesville, AR and Jeff Eckberg of Denver, CO; two daughters, Debbie Talburt (Alan) of Henderson, AR and Cheryl Ferguson (Mark) of Sherwood, AR; step-daughter Linda Horton (Willard) of Norman, AR; step-son Glenn Montgomery (Shirley) of Poyen, AR; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 8 great great-grandchildren. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral service will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at 10 am at Barker Funeral Home, Salem, AR with Bro. Alan Talburt officiating. Visitation will be at 9 am the same day. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Viola.
Pallbearers are Jason Talburt, Brandon Langle, Lucas Talburt, Andrew Ferguson, Vernon Moore and Randy Moore.
