Mr. Carl 'Julian' Newton of Calhoun Falls, SC, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Newton was born in Abbeville, SC, son of the late Carl Edward Newton and Mattie Burns Whitman Newton. He was a proud graduate of Calhoun Falls High School, and worked as a Calhoun Falls Police Officer in the 1970s.
He is survived by his grandchildren: Avery Newton and Will Newton, both of Abbeville, SC: siblings: Betty Todd of Abbeville, SC and Rickey Newton of Calhoun Falls, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Carl 'Brandon' Newton; and brother, Jimmy Newton.
Julian will be laid to rest with his son and parents at Latimer Cemetery in Calhoun Falls, SC. Services will be private.
